Irene’s Obituary Irene Mary Hare (nee Chalupa) age 93, a resident of Plainfield, Illinois, formerly of Lemont, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Lakewood Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born on January 28, 1926. Beloved wife of Wilbert K. Hare whom she married October 15, 1949; loving mother of Michael K. (Patricia) Hare of Sugar Grove, Il, William A. (Mary) Hare of Homer Glen, Il, Gregory T. (Cheryl) Hare of Homer Glen, Il, and Jeffrey J. (Christine) Hare of Homer Glen, Il; adored grandmother of Kathleen (Matthew) Bowes, Corienne Koss, Christine Marie (Matthew) Cunningham, William Michael (Jaclyn) Hare, Daniel (Angela) Hare, Michael J. (Melissa) Hare, Emily Hare, Katherine Hare, Caitlin (Fidel) Mendoza, Samantha Hare and Jeffrey Hare; cherished great-grandmother of Jacob Griffith, Aidan Griffith, Henry Cunningham, Eleanor Cunningham, Agnes Cunningham, Liam Cunningham, Martin Cunningham, Adyson Koss, Ella Koss, Mariyana Hare, Nicholas Mendoza and Lucas Mendoza.

Irene was the devoted daughter of the late Anton and Albina Chalupa, dear sister of Mildred (the late Raymond) Ludkevicz, the late Anthony Chalupa, Dorothy Yerian, Marguerite (Richard) Bosko, Geraldine (John) Campbell and fond cousin, aunt, great-aunt and friend to many. Irene was an accomplished artist, awesome cook/baker and loved to travel. She will be dearly missed by all.

Visitation Thursday, March 7, 2019, from 2 – 8 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. 108 Illinois St. Lemont. Funeral services Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Entombment Friday, March 8, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL 60421.
