OBITUARY Irene Suniga January 1, 1955 – July 16, 2018 Irene Suniga, 63, of El Paso, Texas, passed away on July 16, 2018 after bravely fighting a long and hard medical battle. Our beloved Irene was born in El Paso, Texas where she was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Andres High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in Germany and Stateside honorably for over ten years.

She was a career employee at William Beaumont Army Medical Center from where she retired in 2010. Irene will be sorely missed as she was a kind and loving person who helped everyone she possibly could. She was preceded in death by her parents Juan and Maria Hernandez, and leaves behind her husband of 37 Years, John Suniga, her son Sean P. Suniga, daughter in-law Yvette Suniga, grandson Sean P. Suniga II, brothers Ruly, Carlos, John, and Frank Hernandez, and sister Margie Gonzales as well as her close and dearest friend Maritza Melendez and her family.

Visitation will be from 5-9pm, Rosary at 7pm, Sunday, July 22, at Kaster-Maxon & Futrell Funeral Home, 8817 Dyer St. Funeral Mass will be 1pm Monday, July 23, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 10000 Pheasant Rd. followed by Burial at 2:30pm at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
