Obituary for Irving D. Greene Irving D. Greene, 93, of Bay Harbor Islands, Florida passed on June 26, 2018. He was born in Mountaindale, New York and graduated from Mountaindale High School. He received his Bachelors degree from the University of Vermont.

He was a loving husband of Audrey Greene for 65 years. Irving served as a bombardier in World War 2. He was a retired reservation and front office manager at several hotels in the Catskill Mountains of New York and Miami Beach Florida.

His hobbies included bowling, golf, bridge and poker. Irving was a prominent team member of the 1940-41 Mountaindale High School basketball team. The squad outlasted its competition to capture the Catskill Mountain League Basketball Championship.

He served on the board of directors at Congregation Ezrath Israel in Ellenville, New York and proudly served as master of ceremonies for several fundraising events. He is survived by his devoted wife Audrey, loving children Gina, Lisa and Holly, and treasured grandsons Brian, Danny, Eric and Matthew. Service will be held at 12:30pm on Friday, June 29 at Leveitt-Weinstein Eternal Light Funeral Service Center located at 18840 West Dixie Highway in North Miami Beach with Rabbi Marc Labowitz officiating.

Burial to follow service at Lakeside Memorial Park located at 10301 NW 25 Street in Doral, Florida. Memorial contributions may be directed to Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Irving D. Greene please visit our Sympathy Store.
