Mrs. Iva Wardell Ormond Brown, age 91, passed away on January 27, 2019 at Roanoke River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Williamston, NC. She was a member of Williams Chapel AME Zion Church in Williamston, NC and York Memorial AME Zion Church in Greenville, NC. Survivors include two children, Pastor Vincent Keith Brown of Edgewater, MD and Pastor Phyllis B. Smotherson of Waldorf, MD.

; one sister, Elsie Long of Williamston, NC; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Williams Chapel AME Zion Church in Williamston, NC and on Saturday February 2, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 3:30 pm at York Memorial AME Zion Church in Greenville, NC. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 3:30 pm at York Memorial AME Zion Church in Greenville, NC.

The interment will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 10:00 am at Woodlawn Cemetery in Williamston, NC.
