Ivee (Hart) Corbitt, age 83, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2018 at Maria-Joseph Care Center. Born August 9, 1934 to the late Turley Sr. and Grace Hart in St. Louis, MO, where she graduated from Mercy High School in 1953, and attended Cosmetology School. Ivee later relocated to Toledo, OH where she married David Corbitt and started her family.

Ivee continued to follow her heart and moved with her children to Dayton, OH, where she committed herself to being a faithful servant of the Lord; a devoted mother, grandmother and friend to many. Ivee joined Assumption Catholic Church and was very active in worship and mission work amongst her community and church. Ivee is preceded in “Eternal Rest” by her “Beloved” daughter-in-law, Sheila Corbitt; ex-husband & friend, David O. Corbitt; “Cherished Siblings”, brothers, Hugh and Wilford “Tony” Hart, and sister, Laverne Hart.

Ivee leaves behind a loving family to carry on her legacy and memories for many generations to come; her son, Marlon “Keith” (Jonah) Corbitt; daughter, Tanya Corbitt- (Leslie) Stanford; son, David “Kevin” Corbitt; brothers, Turley Jr., and Sonny Hart; sisters, Melba, Gloria, Jolene, Debra, Ervetta; grandchildren, Tia, Toya, Ligaya, Ennjoili,Ashanti, Chauncy and Da’Jaha, including special granddaughter, Brittoni Corbitt and “only grandson”, Tywan Corbitt; 16 precious great grandchildren; special friend, Lynn Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, as well as, numerous family and friends whom Ivee will always have a special place in the hearts of. Mass of Christian burial will be held 1 pm Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Maria-Joseph Chapel, 4830 Salem Ave. , main entrance.

Visitation 10 am at the chapel until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment Willow View Cemetery.

Special thanks and gratitude to the staff of Maria Joseph Care Center, Hospice and visiting friends and family who took the time to show love and care for our “Mama”. Thank you and God bless all.
