Iyiola Ofakunrin December 20, 1974 – March 12, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Mrs Iyiola Olubusola Ofakunrin (Nee Apalowo), daughter of late Enoch O. Apalowo and Abigail A. Apalowo was born on December 20, 1974 in Omu-Aran, Kwara State, Nigeria. She attended C&S Primary School and finished at Methodist Primary School for her elementary education, attended Methodist Girls High School both at Ifaki-Ekiti, Nigeria. She proceeded to University of Ilorin, Nigeria where she obtained her first bachelor’s degree in chemistry and later a Bachelor of Nursing degree at Metropolitan State University, St Paul, Minnesota, USA.

She worked as a Trauma/Progressive RN for four years at Regions Hospital, St Paul MN and later as an RN Consultant for Health Counselling Services, Bloomington MN until the time of her passing. At an early age, she professed her faith in Christ and served faithfully as a choir member in her church in Nigeria. Evangelism was her passion, she would handwrite tracts whenever printed ones were unavailable.

She loved and followed the LORD until her last breath. She was united in holy matrimony to her husband of 15 years, Olubodun Ofakunrin and were blessed with three wonderful daughters, Praise, Prisca, and Pleasant. On March 12, 2019, Iyiola went home to be with her LORD.

She was 44. Proceeded in death by her beloved dad, Pa Enoch O. Apalowo. She is survived by her husband; her three daughters; Parent, Mrs Abigail A. Apalowo; siblings, Agnes Oredola, Foluke Olabode, Kemi Adekanmi, Ajoke Adelugba, & Temilola Babatope (all Nee Apalowo); in-laws; cousins; nieces and nephews.

Iyiola was an inspirational Christian writer, blogger and song writer. She wrote and published her first book in 2017 titled Zero Toxins. Visitation and Service of Songs, Friday, March 22, 2019 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at O’Halloran & Murphy Woodbury (8700 Valley Creek Road Woodbury, Minnesota 651/702-0301) and on hour prior to service at Church.

Funeral Service, Saturday, March 23, 2019, 11:00 AM at New Life Church (6758 Bailey Road Woodbury, MN). Interment at Union Cemetery.
