OBITUARY J. D. Ashabranner June 18, 1931 – October 9, 2018 Jack Douglas “J. D.” Ashabranner passed away on October 9, 2018, at the age of 87. Born in Burnet, Texas on June 18, 1931, Jack was the son of John Nelson Ashabranner and Myrtle Violet (Daugherty) Ashabranner.

He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and worked throughout his life as an electrician with the Texas Electric Co-op. Jack loved to travel and was also an avid Texas Longhorn fan. He adored his family and they loved him.

Jack is survived by his loving companion, Betty Klock. He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Jaci Pierce and her husband, Glen; and by his daughter, Debi Leavitt and her husband, Billy. Jack is also survived by his grandchildren, Jimmy Pierce and wife, Tanya; Ginifer Grumbo and husband, Adam; Jordan Slimack and husband, Jon; and Mason Leavitt.

Jack is also leaving behind great-grandchildren, Autumn Richmond and Ben; Kaden and Connor Pierce; as well as, numerous nieces and nephew. Graveside services with military honors will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 12, 2018 at Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
