J. Michael Dudzic, 69, of 3908 State Route 257 Seneca, PA. , died unexpectedly Saturday Sept. 22, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Pittsburgh.

Born Sept. 9, 1949 in Oil City, PA. , he was the son of the late John P. Dudzic & Carmela Rubino Dudzic Mike was a graduate of Oil City High School.

He entered the United States Navy on June 27, 1968 and served during the Vietnam War on board the U.S.S. Washburn , the U.SS. St. Louis and with the Brownwater Navy patrolling the DaNang River as a Boatswain Mate Third Class. Mike was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.

On May 1, 1971 he married the former Janie E. English in St. Stephen’s Church and she survives. Mike started working for Oilwell Supply, Division of U.S Steel, later working at Koppers and retired from SMS Millcraft. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Church.

Mike enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, hunting and racing go karts and sprint cars, but most of all enjoyed his time with his grandchildren. Mike shared many special times with his hunting and fishing buddy Mark Winger of Oil City. He was a life member of the Pulaski Club, the Oil City VFW and the PNA Club.

He was also a member of the Oil City Eagles Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and their wives. Scott Dudzic & his wife Mary Kay of Cochranton Brian Dudzic & his wife Jessica of Oil City five grandchildren Fisher, Indie, Brady, Brea and Jacob one brother Bill Dudzic & his wife Barb of Oil City his in-laws Mike English & his wife Linda of Henrys Bend Carol Wilkinson & her husband Bill of Oil City JoAnne Engles & her husband Tim of Franklin Alicia Etzel & her husband Ed of Mentor, OH Several Aunts, Uncles and cousins also survive.

Friends will be received from 7-9 Wednesday and from 4-7 P.M. Thursday in the Reinsel Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Friday in St. Stephen’s Church. Military Honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S.
