He was born July 27, 1949 in Macomb, Illinois to James R. and Helen Egerton Hodges; he married Sue Ellen Markham on Feb. 1, 1969.

She survives. Also surviving are his children, Caryn (Jamie) Kerker of Augusta, Illinois, Terry (Trisha) Hodges of Kirkwood, Illinois, Kelly (Preston) McPeak of Blandinsville, Illinois; 6 grandchildren, Amanda (Daniel) Corrigan, Alyssa Kerker, Nicholas Hodges, Natalie Hodges, Layton McPeak, Landon McPeak; 2 brothers, Curtis Hodges of LaHarpe, Illinois, Kevin Hodges of Blandinsville, Illinois; and a sister, Linda Colla of Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He worked his early life at Jennings Sales Barn, and then for NTN Bower and Yetter Manufacturing retiring in 2005. He farmed all his life. He enjoyed Hunting, woodworking and collecting things.

He accepted the Lord and was a Christian when he passed away. Services will be at 10 AM Saturday May 4, 2019 at the Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home, where visitation will be Friday May 3, from 5-7 PM. Pastor Jim Eddy will officiate.

Burial will be in Glade City Cemetery. Memorial Contribution may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Please sign guest book or leave condolences at www.
