Jack A. Brown, 91, of Avon Park, FL and formerly of Hopkinsville, KY died July 5, 2018. He was born in Oklahoma City, OK on August 9, 1926 to Charles R. and Anna Leistikow Brown. He had been a Highlands County, FL resident since 1989.

Jack joined the U.S. Navy in October of 1943 and then U.S. Army in May of 1947. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and retired from civil service in Fort Campbell, KY. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Sisk Brown.

He is survived… Read More » by his children, Billy Donnell of Avon Park, FL, Danny (Cindy) Brown of Dallas, GA, David (Liz) Brown of Dallas, GA, Debbie (Terry) Windhorst of Louisville, KY, and Darla (Mike) McCorkle of Hixson, TN, and also five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or Avon Park Christian Church.
