Jack’s Obituary Jack Dean Hopper, Reeds Spring, MO, son of George and Rena (Hedrick) Hopper, was born January 31, 1937 in Sanger, CA and departed this life on May 1, 2019 at the age of 82. Jack had been a resident of the area for 69 years. He was a self-employed concrete contractor, working with his son, Jeff.

He was a member of the Cedar Ridge Baptist Church of Galena, MO, National Home Builders Association and the Reeds Spring Athletic Booster Club. Jack enjoyed traveling (in the U.S.A.) and taking cruises with his wife, Janet. He enjoyed his cattle, watching St. Louis Cardinal Baseball games and his grandkids.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Wanda Carr and Barbara Crabtree. Survivors include: his wife of 61 years, Janet Hopper of Reeds Spring, MO; son, Jeffrey Hopper, Reeds Spring, MO; two daughters, Marsha Holcomb of Snyder, OK and Beverly Linn of Nixa, MO; six sisters, Betty Anderson, Rogersville, MO, Dorothy Burk of Galena, MO, Joyce Kinnett of Lebanon, MO, Brenda Eakins of Galena, MO, Sandra Litle of Springfield, MO and Sheryl McCrea of Fort Smith, AR; nine grandchildren, Jordan Holcomb, of Lakeview, MI, Jesse Holcomb of Snyder, OK, Joseph Holcomb of Snyder, OK, Brock Rapp of Springfield, MO, Kolby Rapp of Tucson, AZ, Nicholas Rapp of Nixa, MO, Samantha Cole of Reeds Spring, MO, Kamryn Hopper of Reeds Spring, MO and Reece Hopper of Reeds Spring, MO; six great grandchildren, Caeden and Jack Rapp, Pierre and Maggie Cole, Emma Rapp and Benton Holcomb and a host of other family and friends. Visitation for Jack will be Saturday, May 4, 2019 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Stumpff funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.

Service will be Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at New Testament Christian Church Reeds Spring, MO with Pastor Mike Keeter officiating. . Burial will be in Yocum Pond Cemetery Reeds Spring, MO.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
