Obituary for Jack E. Turner Jack E. Turner, 68, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 25, 2018, at his home. The family will greet friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, Iowa. Private family inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, will take place at a later date.

Jack was born July 5, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Raymond and Hilda Hodge-Turner. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam War. Jack worked at National Oats for many years.

He enjoyed talking to people and making friends as he walked around Cedar Lake. Jack enjoyed reading about history, fishing, and disc golf in his younger years. He is survived by his three children, Danielle (Jeff) Thrower, Cameron Turner, and Jay Turner; three grandchildren; siblings, Ray (Peggy) Turner and Phillip (Barbara) Turner; and several nieces and nephews.
