Born May 25, 1977 in Allentown, he was a son of Maynard S. and Janis (Stephens) Campbell. Jacob earned his undergraduate degree at DeSales University and continued at Lehigh University, where he received his master’s degree.

He worked as the Director for Academic Financial Planning & Analysis at The New School, New York. Jacob was an avid fan of Prince and a diehard New York baseball fan. In addition to his parents, Jacob is survived by his brother, Shawn and his wife, Alyssa; and nephews, Nickolas and Gaelan, and more family and friends than stars in the sky.
