Jacob’s Obituary Jacob RAN to the arms of Jesus Christ on January 16, 2019 peacefully and at home surrounded in his parents’ love. He was born on January 2, 2017 to Ben and Emily (Tennessen) Hermus. Jacob was born with CHARGE Syndrome, which included a multitude of life threatening and life limiting conditions.
Jacob showed strength, bravery, and resilience from the day he was born. He faced many battles in his short life and fought them with strength right up until his last breath, when he didn’t have to fight anymore. His circumstances took away some abilities, but that didn’t stop him from showing us his love.
We will miss his little smirks, the way he said hello by touching faces, and his overall passive personality. He left an impact on anyone who followed his journey. Our hearts ache, but we rejoice knowing he is in God’s Kingdom.
He is survived by his parents, Ben and Emily, his big brother, Daniel, and his little sister, Hannah. He is further survived by Grandparents: Lois (Ed) Zwick-Perez and Dan and Betsy Hermus; Great-grandmothers: Grace Zwick, Peg Bongers-Kons, and Jeanie Hermus; Aunts and Uncles: Melissa (Nate) Luedtke, Emily (Tony) Hietpas, Travis (Morgan) Tennessen; Cousins: Rudy, Brady, Aubree, and William; As well as so many Great-Aunts and Great-Uncles, Cousins, Relatives, and Friends. He was proceeded in death by his cousin: Marie Hietpas; Grandfather: Bill Tennessen; Great Grand-parents: Marv Zwick, Bill Bongers, Rudy Hermus Jr., and Art and Eileen Tennessen.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Msgr.
