Jae (John) Savino, age 53, passed away on December 3, 2018. Beloved husband of Shelagh McCarthy Savino, wonderful father to Max and Olivia, dear son of John and Winifred Ellen Savino, sibling of Kim Savino, Lori Barrett (née Savino), and Scott Savino. Predeceased by brother Jeff Savino.

Born in Addison IL, Jae was a longtime resident of Glen Ellyn IL where he raised his children and cared for his family in his own constant and loving way, and had an impact on all who knew him which does not lend itself to summary here. His life will be celebrated at a memorial service and gathering, which will be held on Sunday, December 16 at the Lake Ellyn Boathouse, 645 Lenox Road, Glen Ellyn IL. The memorial service will begin at 2 o’clock, with a remembrance gathering to follow immediately thereafter from approximately 3 o’clock, until 5 o’clock.

Light bites and beverages (adult and otherwise) will be served. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Massachusetts General Hospital’s Wellman Center for Photomedicine.
