OBITUARY James A. Beam December 23, 1932 – October 17, 2018 James Allen Beam, 85 year-old resident of Harrah, Oklahoma, passed away October 17, 2018 at his home. Born December 23, 1932 in Oden, Arkansas, he was the son of Bunyon Stevenson and Edda Lou (Hooper) Beam. James was a devoted Christian who had many church families through the years.

He was a member at Pointon City Baptist Church, South Side Missionary Church, Henney Road Baptist Church, and most recently, Eastwood Baptist Church. James was very active in his children and grandchildren’s activities especially when he was the Scout Master for his son’s Boy Scout troop. He loved his family very much and would do anything for anyone.

James worked as a truck driver for many years and after retiring, he raised livestock and enjoyed being outside on his John Deere tractor. He even built the home that he and his wife, Helen currently live in! James was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Opal Webster, Dorothy Edwards, and Curtis Beam.

Survivors include his loving wife, Helen Beam of 64 years; children, Michael Beam and wife Linda, Allen Beam and wife Penny, and Sherrie Davis and husband Stephen; grandchildren, Chris Beam and wife Mandi, Sharon Glazier and husband Chris, Craig Beam and wife Stephany, Stacie Evans and husband Chase, Nick Davis, and Noah Davis; great-grandchildren, Makynli Beam and Preston Beam; siblings, Charles Beam, Sybil Pate, Sue Nel Miller, and Chester Beam. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Eastwood Baptist Church in Midwest, Oklahoma with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
