Obituary for James A. “Jim” Bondoni Sr. James A. “Jim” Bondoni, Sr., 65, of Alliance, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Alliance Community Care Center. Born on January 20, 1953 in Alliance, to James M. and Janet (Fickes) Bondoni, he lived in Alliance all of his life. A 1972 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, James was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
He was also a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus Council #557 and a member of the Christopher Columbus Society. Jim was employed at Joel’s Garage as a mechanic and retired in June of 2012. Jim enjoyed stock car racing, Nascar racing, bowling, and especially loved watching his granddaughters play sports and other activities.
Survivors include his wife, Debra A. (Akins) Bondoni, whom he married on January 10, 1976; his son, James A. (Paula) Bondoni Jr. of Alliance; his daughter, Gina A. (Shawn Stephens) Bondoni of Homeworth; six grandchildren, Marissa (Mark Pisanello) Bondoni of Alliance, Briana Bondoni of Alliance, Izabella “Bella” Castle, Draven Stephens, Gage Stephens, and Trystin Stephens all of Homeworth; three sisters, Julianne Bondoni of Pinellas Park, FL, Justine (Mark) Frank of Alliance, and Janette Bondoni Markle of Alliance; a brother, Joe Bondoni of Alliance; and several nieces, nephews and God Children. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother-in-law. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, with Pastor Quint Bryan, of Sebring Friends Church, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Alliance Hospice 2461 W. State St., Suite E Alliance, OH 44601.
