Mr. James Allen “Jim” Bryant 80 of Parton Dr., Lincolnton, Ga. entered into rest on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Bryant, a native of Manhattan, NY, had served in the US Navy from 1957 until 1961.

During his service in the US Navy, he attended aviation metal smith school. Afterwards, he returned to Arlington, CA, began a career with the Sheet Metal Workers Union of Southern California, Nevada and Arizona and retired in 1996. He has lived in Lincoln County since 2013.

He loved college football, was an avid Georgia Bulldog and Alabama Crimson Tide football fan and also enjoyed following NASCAR. Most importantly, he was a good man for putting up with the hell that his wife, Nancy gave him. The time that he shared with his grandchildren was his greatest joy.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Elaine Bryant; children, Brian, Cliff, Greg, Dawn and Jeff; 7 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11 am at Beggs Funeral Home in Lincolnton. Beggs Funeral Home, 200 May Ave.
