James Anthony Summers, 46, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. He was born in Lebanon, Indiana on May 14, 1972 a son of Richard Dean Summers and Ruth Ann (Tyree) Tyler. He was a lifelong resident of Boone County and attended Lebanon High School.

On 1992 in Colfax, Indiana, James married Chelli (Thomas) Summers. They divorced and he married Heather (Miller) Summers in 2009. They later divorced; both Chelli and Heather survive.

He was a self-employed contractor who worked on many houses in the area. He also was a member of the Lebanon Eagles. James was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

He enjoyed mushroom hunting, motorcycles, and spending time with his friends and family. Survivors: Father: Richard Summers-Lebanon Mother: Ruth Ann (Jim) Tyler-Lebanon Daughters: Megan (Derek) Brooks-Lafayette Ellison Miller-Summers-Lebanon Two Grandchildren: Brennan Brooks-Lafayette Addison Brooks-Lafayette Brother: Jeff D. (Katrina) Summers-Lebanon Sister: Cassandra (Kurt) Alexander-Lebanon Companion: Tammy Davis-Lebanon James was preceded in death by one grandson, Ezsavior Summers. Private Family Viewing is planned for Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.

A Celebration of Life is planned from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, at the Lebanon Eagles, 2140 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his arrangements. The family requests memorials may be made in James’ memory to his children or the Lebanon Eagles instead of flowers.
