OBITUARY James B. Chitty December 9, 1922 – November 20, 2018 Mr. James Benton Chitty, 95, passed away on November 20, 2018 in Wichita, KS. James was born Dec. 9, 1922 on a farm in Bates County near Ballard, MO, to Ovis Benton and Minnie Blanche Baker Chitty.

James brothers were Harold, George, Don; sister Dixie. He married Mary Margaret Sitler, had daughter Glenda, grandson Michael (deceased); nephews and cousins. 5James served in WW II with the 28th Inf.

Div. in England, France, Belgium, and Germany. He went to college on the GI Bill at Central, Missouri State, and received his Masters Degree from Wichita State University.

James taught high school in Missouri and came to Wichita, KS in 1952. He worked at Beech Aircraft for 36 years, working Production Stass Operations and Production Inventory Control. After retiring, James was a volunteer at the Veterans Hospital and worked as a substitute high school teacher for ten years.

James was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Wichita, KS. Funeral service will be Monday, Nov. 26, 2018 at 2pm, Lakeview Chapel.
