Obituary for James Burr Marshall MARSHALL, James, 74, of Indian Rocks Beach ,was received in Heaven April 14, 2018. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 29, 1943 to Ray and Lillian Marshall. Jim grew up in Oak Lawn, Illinois and enlisted into the United States Marine Corps, serving four years in the Vietnam War.

The only thing more important to him, other than his family, was being a proud Marine and fighting for his country. He was a member of Olympia Fields Country Club and Crystal Tree Country Club in Illinois for many years. He also served as founding president of the Crystal Tree Homeowners Association.

One of Jim’s pleasures was traveling with Anne on many cruises and touring through Europe. Jim’s life was cut short due to complications of Agent Orange Disease he acquired while serving in Vietnam. He fought his illness just like he fought for his country, never giving up.

He loved being at his home in Indian Rocks Beach with Anne looking out at the Gulf. He is survived by his loving spouse of 50 years, Anne (Doody). He will be missed by his children, Catherine Baffoe (David Goich), Patricia Sheputis (Gary).

He was also a loving grandfather of Jessica Wright (Will), Madeline Baffoe, Hannah Baffoe; great-grandfather of Mia Wright; loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Reese Funeral Home on Thursday, April 19, from 11 am-2 pm, 6767 Seminole Blvd. , Seminole, FL.

Internment will follow at a future date with full military honors at Bay Pines National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to Misercordia Home. Loving uncle of Jimmy Logan Parent # 3294B.
