James’ Obituary James C. Lynner, 68, of Maddock, ND passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at his home. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM Monday, July 2, 2018 at the North Viking Lutheran Church in Maddock with Pastor Allen Campbell officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be held at the North Viking Lutheran Cemetery in Maddock. James Clifford Lynner was born on October 19, 1949 to Clifford and Jewell (Rice) Lynner. He attended school in Maddock and graduated from BCATS in 1969.

Jim was employed at the Spirit Lake Casino as a security guard for the past 14 years prior to his passing. He enjoyed his job at the casino and was a faithful employee. Though he never married, in Jewell’s later years he was her care-taker.

Jim is survived by his sister, Diane Smith of Bismarck, ND; brother, Larry Lynner of Salt Lake City, UT; one uncle; five aunts; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Jewell (Rice) Lynner; brother-in-law, Don Smith (2014); and his cat, Lucy.
