Obituary for James Cecil “Slim” Harper James Cecil “Slim” Harper, age 80, born April 19, 1938, passed away at his residence on December 3, 2018. Services will be held at Memory Chapel on Thursday, December 6th. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. with the service following at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Union Line Cemetery.

Jonathan McKenzie will officiate. Mr. Harper was a retired truck driver. He was a Master Mason and 33rd Degree Scottish Rite.

He loved the outdoors and CB radios. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ben Harper and Bessie Valentine Harper; brothers, K. E. “Kimble” Harper and W. R. “Strick” Harper; and sister, Louise Gatewood. Survivors include his special friend, Michael Phillips; and nieces and nephews, Jim Harper, Debbie Harper Davis and Linda.
