James Clyde Roark, 44 of Totz, KY passed away suddenly on Tuesday evening of December 11, 2018 at the Southeastern Kentucky Medical Center in Pineville. James was born May 6, 1974 in Harlan to the late James Hunter and Peggy Joyce Rainey Roark. He was a lifelong resident of Harlan Co., and a proud coal miner for 18 years and working for Rock Hampton Energy in Bell Co

He believed in the holiness faith. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Worthington and James Bays. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Thacker Roark of Totz, KY; sons, Justin Michael (Tiffany) Boggs of Benham, and Gary Wayne Boggs of Whitesburg; daughters, Megan Deanna Gayle (Robbie) Halcomb of and Katelyn Marie Roark all of New Mexico, Ashley Nicole (Jesse) Hunter of Richmond, Jessica Brooke (Tommy) Miles of Cumberland, Paula Michelle Cornett of Casey Co., KY; grandchildren he loved dearly, Emalyn Halcomb, Braven Robert James Halcomb, Kristina Boggs, Michael Boggs, Jaci Cornett, Major Cornett, Hunter Cornett, Issac Miles, Riley Miles, Lucas Miles, and Kassidy Miles; brother, Billy Ralph Roark of Evarts; sisters, Judy Holden of Lafollette, TN and Jackie (Mike) Sizemore of Cranks; nieces and nephews, Madison, Toni, Landon, Gracie, Hunter, Allen, Josh, Todd, John, Stacey, and Polly.

Visitation will be Friday (Dec. 14) after 6:00 pm at the Ages Church of God Mountain Assembly. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm on Saturday (Dec.

15) at the church with Rev. Donnie Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens at Verda, KY.
