James M. Cox, age 91 of Crestview passed away on Monday December 3, 2018 at North Okaloosa Medical Center. He was born in Gallipolis, OH on March 2, 1927 to Charles Cox and Myrtle Burns. James worked as a custodian for the Okaloosa County School Board and retired after many years.

He loved to go to yard sales and loved to go camping. James was preceded in death by his wife Frances Cox and a grandson Gayland Hunter Cox. Survivors include his children: James Cox, David Cox and his wife Angela and Marie Cox.

Also surviving are his grandchildren: Synclare Cox, Kayla Reid, Ashly and Rachael Devillires & one great grandchild Melody Reid. A private family service will be held at later time. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
