James D. Sliter Jr. 68, of 120 Cornplanter Hill Rd. Oil City, PA. died at 4:40 P.M. Sunday Oct.

28, 2018 at his home. Born June 28, 1950 in Oil City, PA. , he was the son of the late James D. Sliter Sr. & Ida M. Oakes Sliter.

James had worked for Two Mile Run Park and for B.P. Rhodes in Reno. He was married on Aug. 23, 1969 at Hamilton Corners to the former Ruth A. Stevenson and she survives.

Jim enjoyed helping out at Community Services, camping, and working on cars. He especially enjoyed street rods. Jim was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters. Melissa Whitling & her husband Richard of Franklin Tonya Holly Sliter & her companion Dennis Miller of Oil City Jamie Ann Sliter of Oil City One sister Mary Lorraine Sliter Hockman of Houston, TX And by his adopted children Kimberly Gravelle and her children Jessica Winters and her husband Brice and their girls. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by half siblings Richard Lee Oakes, Marilyn Joyce Sliter and Merwin Sliter And several step grandchildren.

Friends will be received rom 2-4 and from 7-9 P.M. Wednesday in the Reinsel Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Larry Williams, Pastor of Faith Baptist Church, Presiding.

Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Leukemia &Lymphoma Society Riverwalk Corporate Center 333 E. CARSON St. Pittsburgh, PA. 15219 Condolences may be sent at www.
