OBITUARY James Dow Chenoweth June 1, 1976 – January 28, 2019 James Dow Chenoweth, age 42 of Huntsville formerly of Mountain Brook, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019. He was a graduate of Mountain Brook High School and Auburn University where he received a degree in Aerospace Engineering. James went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
He worked for many years in the Aerospace Industry in Huntsville. James was preceded in death by his father Beach Mead Chenoweth, III; his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. James Bolton Sherrod and Dr. and Mrs. Beach Mead Chenoweth, Jr He is survived by his mother Judith Sherrod Chenoweth; his sister Frances Chenoweth Fraser; his nieces Allie Fraser and Madeline Fraser.
He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 5 until 7 pm at Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 1029 at 2pm at Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev.
Lucy Turner officiating. James had a real love for animals, the family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to any Humane Society.
