James E. Gallagher of Bensalem was called home on Saturday, March 9, 2019, surrounded by his family. Jim was the loving and devoted husband of Mary (nee Langer). He is survived by his children Michael (LeeAnn), Lori and Kelly Beals (Denny).

He was “Pop” to Gabriella, Madison, Mackenzie and Emma. He was the son of James and Mary Rita (nee Leonard) and the brother of Marie, Joe (Ginny), Eileen Smith (Franny), Tom (Maria), Kevin (Donna), Ed (Laura) and Kate (William). Jim was extremely proud of his service in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He worked as a meat cutter and fishmonger, most recently at McCaffreys in Newtown. He was passionate about Civil War history and refinishing antique furniture. Relatives, friends, members of the Knights of Columbus Holmesburg Council 1284 and Father Judge High School Class of 1967 are invited to his Viewing on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 9:30 – 11:00 A.M. at St. Ephrem’s Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA.
