James’ Obituary James Edward “Jim” Brayton, 89, of Burkburnett passed away Monday, May 20, 2019. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2019 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Burkburnett with Fr. Khoi Tran Celebrant.

Rite of Committal will follow at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett. Jim was born on March 19, 1930 in Britt, Iowa to the late Charles Mark and Anna Marie Brayton. Jim was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Burkburnett, and the Knights of Columbus.

Jim was very active with the gun range in Burkburnett. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Darlene. Jim is survived by children Bobby Brayton, Linda Owen, Richard Lawson, Ralph Lawson, Bruce Brayton, and Randy Brayton, all of Southern California; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister Jeanette Hyatt of Laguna Hills, California.
