James Edward Slaughter, age 61 of Albany died Friday December 14, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. James was born October 22, 1957 in Louisville, Ky to the late Willie M. Slaughter and Ellen Ruth Madison Slaughter.

He was an electronic engineer with the United States Military, serving in both Louisville and Albany, retiring after 31 years of dedicated service and was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Denise Ann Slaughter, children, Juan Chairez, Katina McMillan, grandchildren, Mia Roberts, Jordan Chairez, Carmen McMillan, Ryan McMillan, great grandchild, Nova Rayne McMillan, his mother, Ellen Slaughter, Siblings, Anita (Harold) Flood, Kenny (Barbara) Slaughter, Regina Cochran, Donna Slaughter, Pamela Slaughter, Linda (Mark) Abner, and many nieces and nephews.
