Obituary for James Elmer Coe James Elmer Coe, 77, of Anthony, Texas passed away, Monday, September 10, 2018. James Elmer was born on April 15, 1941 in La Union, New Mexico. A celebration of life service will be held at the United Methodist Church, 101 Franklin Street Anthony, Texas at 2:00 pm on Saturday September 29, 2018.

Pastor Tom Anderson will preside over the service. James Elmer is a graduate of Gadsden High School, Anthony, New Mexico. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1968.

James Elmer served El Paso Community College (EPCC) in many capacities for 28 years. His most recent professional role at EPCC was Coordinator of Customized Training; in which he served for 19 years. Additionally, he served his community of Anthony, Texas as a leading committee member on The Planning and Zoning Committee, to help facilitate commercial and residential policies to make his community a better place.

James Elmer is preceded in death by his mother, Lola Barker Coe and his father, Albert Elmer Coe. His Mother in-law Dorothy Pitt , his sister in-law, Karen Blaylock . He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Nancy G. Coe, his daughter, Linda C. Hubert and son in-law John Wesley Hubert, of Montgomery Texas.

His brother and sister in-law David and Linda Pitt, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and their 3 children and his niece Nancy Young, her husband Chad Young and their two children of Brighton Tennessee. He was blessed to have two Grandsons, Austin Tucker, of Montgomery Texas, and John Robert Hubert, of Dickenson Texas, and three great grandchildren: James Elmer Coe was loved by many lifelong friends in his community and work place. He was a lifelong learner, reading avidly about Theology, Politics and World Events.

He loved little animals. James Elmer Coe was always willing to listen and support those around him with kindness and grace. May he rest in peace in the arms of our heavenly Father and be free of the physical burdens of this earthly realm.
