James Gordon Campbell February 3, 1944 – June 13, 2018 Gordon was born in Boise, Idaho to Marjorie “Marge” (Van de Grift) and Clarence Cecelian “Teke” Campbell and raised in Mountain Home, Idaho. He married his high school sweetheart Jeanne Leeper on August 29, 1964. He graduated from Boise State College in 1969.

He is survived by his beloved wife Jeanne, son James Gordon Campbell Jr. “Scott” and his wife Sherri, his grandson Tyson and his wife Whitney, and his great-granddaughters Gemma and Freya, and granddaughter Jordan Campbell Ruska (Shawn); his daughter Jackie Campbell Page (Travis) and granddaughter Ashleigh Page (Chase Christensen) and great grandson Caden Christensen, and granddaughter Hayleigh Page; his brother David (Jolene) and their children, and sister Carol Rubenstein and her daughter; his brother-in-law, Steve Leeper (Wendy) and their children. Gordon loved his dear family and everything he did was to make a good life for them. Thirty years ago Gordon and Jeanne wanted to create a place where their family could always come together.

They bought their home on Payette Lake, knowing if they lived in a special and wonderful place, their children would always come home to them … and they have! The family has a lifetime of memories in McCall, China Bar on the Salmon River and the beaches of Mexico. Gordon loved fishing of any kind, fly-fishing in a river, jet boating to his beloved China Bar, steelhead fishing, fishing in Payette Lake with his grandchildren, and ocean fishing in Mexico.

In his life, he did so many things – water skiing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, snow skiing, shooting and flying. Sadly the last few years robbed him of so many of those pleasures, but he always loved watching his family have fun at home in McCall. He will be so terribly missed.

He fought so hard and endured so much fighting leukemia. He never gave up in his fight against this terrible disease.
