JAMES HOWARD SINGLETON, 68, of Huntington, W.Va. , formerly of Ashland, Ky. , died Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.

He was born March 15, 1950 at Ashland, a son of the late Harry M. “Mack” and Wanda (Stout) Singleton. His brother, Harry McDonald Singleton, Jr. also preceded him in death, along with one granddaughter, Ashley Stevens. James honorably served in the U.S. Army and was retired from Pepsi.

Survivors include his daughter, Jamie (Thomas) Stevens of Tateville, Ky. ; one grandson, Brandon Stevens, also of Tateville; and two brothers Gerald Lee Singleton of Ashland, Ky. , and Joe E. Singleton of Lexington Park, Md.

Military graveside honors will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2019 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast. Johnson Tiller Funeral Home is honored to serve the Singleton family.
