Obituary for James “Jeff” Jefferson Prentice James “Jeff” Jefferson Prentice age 58 a resident of Birchwood passed away September 11, 2018 at the family residence. He was the son of the late Robert E. Lee Prentice and Dorothy E. Rogers Prentice and was also preceded in death by his brother Terry Edward Prentice. Jeff was an employee of Astec Industries as a fabricator with over 25 years of service.

He was an avid outdoorsman where he loved to fish, hunt, going to the mountains and riding four wheelers. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Ann “Sissy” Prentice, his daughter Jamey Prentice Hart, his grandchildren Deric Prentice, Kloyie Hart and William Hart Jr., his brothers Robert Lee Prentice Jr. and his wife Martha, Johnny Prentice and his wife Beverly, his sisters Retha Womack and her husband Wayne, Linda Wright and her husband William, Karen Prentice Williford and Patsy Quarles and her husband Scott along with several nieces and nephews. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 11 o’clock Friday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave.

Chapel with Rev. David Evans officiating. The committal service will follow at McClanahan Cemetery in Meigs County with Deric Prentice, Daniel Quarles, Scott Quarles, Chad Prentice, Austin Prentice and Bubba Quarles serving as casket bearers.
