James “Jim” Roy Finley was born October 20, 1960 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to T. Roy and Jo Ann (Murphy) Finley. He departed this life on Saturday, February 2, 2019, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma at the age of 58. Jim grew up surrounded by parents and older sister Terri in Norman, Oklahoma and graduated as a Norman Tiger with the class of 1978.

He went on to attend Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.
