Peters, age 73, passed away peacefully on February 23rd, 2019. He was born to Lawrence and Sarah Rebecca Petters on July 24, 1945 in Independence Missouri. Both have preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife Beverly A Peters, a daughter Jamie Peters, a son Patrick Peters, a step son Eric Foster (Barb), and a step son Nathan Foster. James attended William Jewel College in Liberty Missouri where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Bio-Chemistry. He joined the Navy and served two tours in Vietnam.

After his discharge from the Navy, he began his distinguished career with Commerce Bank in Kansas City Missouri. While working for Commerce, he completed his master’s degree in business at Louisiana State University (LSU). He retired from Commerce Bank after 35yrs at the position of VP of Marketing and Strategic Planning.

James eventually partnered with a friend and began a home construction venture in the southern states. However, hurricane Katrina ended that venture, and he moved back to the Kansas City area where he began working at a Wal-mart store in 2007. He retired from Wal-mart In Rogers Arkansas at the end of 2017.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Saturday March 16th, 2019 from 1-3pm with a brief service to begin at 2:30pm. The memorial service will be held at Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd, Bella Vista, AR 72715. Flower arrangements are being handled through Just Petaling, www.
