James “Jimmy” Anderson, 42, of Carmi passed away at 12:25 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, IL. He was born July 2, 1976 in Chicago, IL the son of William and Theresa (Stewart) Anderson. Jimmy attended Trinity Assembly of God in Carmi and was an avid sports fan.

He loved all the Chicago sports teams, especially the Cubs. Jimmy enjoyed spending time at the ball park watch the kids play. He also enjoyed coloring, arts and crafts and story time at the library.

Jimmy is survived by his father, William Anderson of Carmi; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Stewart of Corbin, KY; sister, Kim Anderson of Carmi; and nieces and nephew, Hannah Anderson, Alexis and Michael Miller and Maleia Anderson. Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, William “Bill” Anderson. A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held at a later date at Trinity Assembly of God in Carmi.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jimmy’s memory to Trinity Assembly of God and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
