James’ Obituary James “Jim” Kellam, 89, Summerfield, FL and Green Bay, WI passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. He was born October 10, 1929 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Leroy and Gly (Wende) Kellam. On September 28, 1957, Jim married Nancy Barrett at St. Pius Church and she preceded him in death on July 17, 2002.

He then married Jeanette Peterson on December 31, 2006 in Summerfield, FL. Jim was a member of the VFW Post 9677 of Bellevue, the Howard-Suamico Optimist Club, Little Suamico Hunting and Fishing Club, Suamico Recreation Department and a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy; serving in the Korean War from 1948 to 1951 aboard the USS Sicily. He was also a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Summerfield, FL and St. Pius Catholic Church in Little Suamico, WI.

Jim owned and operated Valley Engraving from 1956 to 1987 and was Vice President of Valley Microforms with his partner, Dave Strom, from 1973 to 1986. Jim enjoyed playing cards, hunting in Athelstane, WI with the Bramschreiber clan, trout fishing with his dear friend, Richard (Stinky) Gross on the Peshtigo River and fishing with the “dirty dozen” on Thunder Lake. He also enjoyed duck hunting on the bay with his dear friend, Carl Stiller.

Jim was a proud season ticket holder of the Green Bay Packers since 1957 and attended many games including the Ice Bowl in 1967. He was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; his daughters, Julie (Rick) VanLaanen, Mary Kellam (Rosemary Brown), Terri Hansen (Jeff Haas) and Leanne Kellam.

He is also survived by Jeanette’s children, Dixie (Chris) Mueller, Dawn (Tom) Sawyer, Denise (Tim) Collette and Dale (Lynn) Peterson; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Jessica (Luke) Lindsey, Brandon (Bianca) Hansen, Kristy Wood, Eli Smith; great-grandchildren, Connor, Aiden, Emma, Peyton, Olive and a great-grandson due this August; his siblings, Rodney (Susie) Kellam, Jerry Kellam, Sharon Budz, Kay (Butch) Kettleson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sonny and Marilyn Bramschreiber; sister-in-law, Patty Barrett; Jeanette’s siblings, Leon (Pat) Westerfeld, Carol (Gordon) Mundt and Dennis (Kathy) Westerfeld; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy; his grandson, James “Jimmy” Wood; brother, Duane (Dorothy) Kellam; brothers-in-law, Joe Karcz, Ray Budz, Al Barrett, Jim Barrett; sister-in-law, Nelyn Kellam; nephews, Todd Kellam, Greg Budz; nieces, Laura Karcz and Christine Kellam.

Visitation will be at St. Pius Catholic Church, 1211 County Road J, Little Suamico, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 18. The Memorial Mass will be at noon Saturday, May 18 at the church with Rev. Judah Ben-Hur Pigeon officiating.
