OBITUARY JAMES L HILL November 26, 1924 – November 28, 2018 James L. Hill, 94, of south Louisville passed away Wednesday November 28, 2018. He was born on November 26, 1924 in Springfield, KY. , to the late Thaddeus and Harriet (Mattingly) Hill.

Mr. Hill was a retired employee of General Electric, and a member of SS. Simon & Jude Catholic Church. In his free time Mr. Hill was an avid hunter and also loved fishing and gardening.

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 67 years, the former Marilyn Greenwell Hill; a daughter, Marcia Jones (Pat); sons, Larry, Rick, Bruce (Janice), and Vincent Hill (Denise); a brother James Hill; sisters, Polly McDonald, Corine Downs, and Helen Monteleone; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. His funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Saturday at SS.

Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 4335 Hazelwood Avenue with entombment to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Friday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Memorial gifts may be made to his church.
