Obituary for James Louis “Jim” Fleshman Sr. James Louis “Jim” Fleshman, Sr., age 81, of Swan Point, MD, died on November 24, 2018. Jim was a Steamfitter with the Steamfitters Local Union #602 for 60 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, landscaping, shooting pool, and playing cards.
Jim was a fan of the Washington Redskins and the Washington Nationals. He enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams and golf on TV. He most enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Louise Theresa Frohlich Fleshman; two sons, Jim, Jr. and Joe; one daughter, Karen Chappelle; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 6:00pm – 8:00pm, with Wake Service at 7:00pm, at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 11:00am at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 15848 Rock Point Road, Newburg, MD 20664.
Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Catholic Church Cemetery, Swan Point Road, Newburg, MD 20664. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim’s name are asked to Holy Ghost Catholic Church – Issue, 15848 Rock Point Road, Newburg, MD 20664.
