James McConnell December 12, 1959 – December 20, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists Upload Photo| View/Sign Guest Book Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road, Brick, NJ 08723 James McConnell, age 59, of Toms River, NJ passed away at Ocean Medical Center after a long battle with Cancer, Carcinoid Syndrome. He was born in Pennsylvania and lived most of his life in Brick prior to moving to Toms River one year ago. James was a licensed land surveyor for many years throughout Ocean County, ending his career as a partner at PDS.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus, an avid boater, a pool party enthusiast, and a Giants fan. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Ann McConnell; four brothers, George, Robert, Thomas, and Charles McConnell; and two sisters, Ann Marie Miller and Patricia Dixon. Surviving James are his beloved wife Marguerite McConnell; his children, James McConnell, Jessica McConnell, Brian Boland and his wife Krystal, and Meghan Boland; and three grandchildren, Mia, Braedon, and Blake, who he loved dearly.

James is also survived by three sister-in-laws, Mary, Harmony, and Vera McConnell. A viewing for James will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road, Brick, NJ 08723. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 11 a.m. at Church of the Visitation in Brick, NJ.
