Obituary for James O McMurry James O. McMurry, of Little Rock, went to his heavenly home on September 7, 2018 at age 96; he was under Hospice care. He was a former member of Eastside Baptist Church in Little Rock. He is survived by two brothers; Richard McMurry (Joan) and William McMurry (Kathy).

He was preceded in death by his wife; Ruth McMurry, sisters; Quanita Gibson and Rosemary Wright, brother; Lewis McMurry, and parents; James and Edith McMurry. After attending school in the Little Rock school system, James served in the US Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1946 in Germany and the US Air Force from 1950 to 1952 in Korea, having been called to active duty from the Arkansas Air National Guard. He was discharged August 1, 1952.

He went on to work as a maintenance man at a mobile home park in Moline, IL. James retired from the US Army Corp of Engineers in Morrilton, AR. Private services will be held at a later date.
