James P. “Jim” Golden, age 67, of Spring Grove, passed away suddenly Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Centegra Hospital, McHenry. Jim was born June 5, 1951 in Oak Park, IL. to Joseph and Pauline (Starke) Golden.

On July 31, 1998 he married Mary Bresolin in Woodstock, IL. James was an educator for High School Dist. 214 for over 40 years.

He began his career teaching Business Education at Rolling Meadows before teaching at Wheeling High School. He also served as a coach for the varsity football… Read More » team. In his free time, Jim enjoyed riding his Harley.

Jim was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and best bud’s to his fur babies, Cisco, Biscuit, Boo and Fredo. James is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Mary; brothers, Joseph (Lynn) Golden, David (Sue) Golden, Paul (Cheryle) Golden; sister in-law, Debbie; nieces, Maggie, Katelyn and Carolyn. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Thompson Spring Grove Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until the 7;00 p.m. Funeral Service.

Inurnment will be private . Memorials would be appreciated by the family in James’ name to Best Friends Animal Society, Salt Lake City, UT. www.
