James Parm, 77, of Sugar Valley, GA, died Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Gordon Health Care. He was born in Polk County, TN on April 25, 1941, son of the late Kimsey and Rhoda May Payne Parm. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Willard, Clarence, R.C., Newell, and Royston Parm; and sisters, Betty Parm, Ruby Daigrepont, Katherine Garland, and Janie Barnes.

James was a veteran, serving his country in the US Army. He had retired from Mohawk in Security. James loved his family, and was an avid outdoorsman.

He attended the Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Linda Beason Parm; his son, Tommy Parm and his fiancee, Sandra Harrison, of Ranger; his daughters and sons-in-law, Sabrina and Rob Ballard of Calhoun, Sherry and John Roberts of Calhoun, and Lisa and Eddie Simoncini of Westminster, Massachusetts; brothers and sisters-in-law, Elbert and Forestine Parm of Chattanooga, TN, and Junior and Rachel Parm of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Mark Nelson, Michelle Nelson, Chris Colburn, Ryan Ballard, Kevin Ballard, and Alisha Weeks; and great-grandchildren, Reagan Weeks and Jacob Nelson. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Services to honor the life of James Parm will be held Sunday, September 23rd at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Mitchell Gaston and Rev. Dwaine Shadix officiating.

Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving will include Jason Gentry, Evitt Parm, Chris Colburn, Ryan Ballard, Kevin Ballard, and Mark Nelson. Honorary pallbearers are Frankie Parm, Michael Parm, Ronnie Haggard, and Brandon Mathis.

The Parm family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, September 22nd, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Condolences may be left at www. maxbrannonandsons.com.
