OBITUARY James Paul Kennerk December 2, 1937 – November 21, 2018 James Paul Kennerk was born on December 2, 1937 in New Haven, Indiana to parents Paul and Marguerite (Kamp) Kennerk and entered into eternal rest on November 21, 2018 at the age of 80. James graduated from New Haven High School in 1956. He joined the United States Army and served as Military Police during his service.

James married the love of his life, Vickie-Lynn Foust, on July 2, 1982 at Jimmerson Lake in Indiana. He worked for North American Van Lines/Pepsico and retired with them in 1983. Then James went to work for Holland Hitch of Texas, as a Regional Sales Manager, retiring in 2001.

James never met a stranger, loved talking to people. He was a hard worker and always enjoyed learning something new. James enjoyed wood working, being outside working in the yard and remodeling the house.

He loved traveling the states going to see family and friends. James was Catholic by faith and served as a Chaplin for Post #310 American Legion in Gun Barrel City. He also served as a volunteer fireman when he lived in New Haven, IN.

James was an amazing man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. James was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Vickie-Lynn Kennerk of Gun Barrel City, brother John Kennerk and wife Connie of Spencerville, IN, brother Gerald Kennerk and wife Phyllis of Sebastion, FL, sister Jane Castleman and husband Joseph of Monroeville, IN, numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.

The family ask that if you would like to make a donation in James’ memory, please do so to the Cavalier Rescue Trust at cavalierrescuetrust.org, because his Cavalier Rescue was the joy of his life.
