Obituary for James M. Puckett Jr. James M. Puckett Jr., 62 Years, a native of Meridian and resident of Houma, passed away on May 28, 2018. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 9am to 11am, with the service to start at 11am, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Puckett; daughter, Amy Puckett companion Bryce Vowan; sisters, Melva Close, Dannette Crappel, and Jetta Kyzar and husband John; father in law, Francis Toups Sr.; his dog, Sassy Ann; and numerous nieces, nephews, sister and brother in laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Imogene Puckett; sister, Wendolyn Slayton; nephew, James Freeman; mother in law, Loretta Toups. Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue is in charge of arrangements.
