James R. Arnold, 84, went home to be with the Lord on November 4, 2018. Born in Akron, Ohio, James had lived in Tallmadge since 1973 and attended the First Church of God in Tallmadge, Ohio. James retired with 32 years of service from Morse Controls as a Credit Manager.

He was a former President of the Akron Credit Management Association. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth E. Arnold and son, James R. Arnold, III. James is survived by his daughter in law, Debra Arnold of Joliet, IL; children, Pam (Greg) Dowell of Hudson, David (Jenny) Arnold of Hartville, Mark Arnold of Marlboro, Richard (Jen) Arnold of Hudson; grandchildren, Katie (Milo) Maciel, Dan, Laura, Josh (fiancé, Genta Minerali), Jessica (Chris) Dutcher, Hannah and Annie; great grandchildren, Lucy, Luke, Kodah and Levi.

Sincere thanks to Mulberry Gardens and their caring staff. Visitation will be 10:00 until 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle) with private funeral service following visitation.

Interment will be held at Tallmadge Cemetery.
