James R. Stopperich, 79 of Moon Township passed on Saturday May 26, 2018. Born July 23, 1938 in Canonsburg, son of the late Herbert and Christine (Hardy) Stopperich. Beloved husband to the late Barbara Ann (Behers) Stopperich; father of James C. Stopperich of Miami, FL, Bonita Stopperich Snyder (Jay) of Center Twp.

, PA, Michael (Nancy) Stopperich of Orlando, Fl, Sharon (Douglas) DeNardo of Moon Twp. , PA and Teresa (Thomas) O’Brien of Evans City, PA; grandfather of Patrick (Tabatha), John, Michael (Izi), Jamie (Jonathan), James (Megan), Ashley (Michael), Joseph (Leah), Kelsey (Stephen), Carson and Kendall; great grandfather of Ethan, Kaiden, Anna, Vivianna, Noah, Tucker, Declan, Landon, Kylie, Brooks and Max; brother of Ronald Stopperich of Bradenton, Fl, Robert, Barry and Richard Stopperich, all of Canonsburg and the late Johnny Stopperich and Linda Dix. James was a steelworker, a member of St. Margaret Mary Church, the Knights of Columbus, the West Hills Food Pantry where he volunteered and collected funds for them in his tin cup He also was support for the Moon VFD and enjoyed to paint and travel.

Visitation Copeland’s 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Twp. on Tuesday for 6-8 PM and Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Prayer of Transfer Thursday 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Margaret Mary Church, Moon Twp.

Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family suggests memorial contributions be made to the West Hills Food Pantry in James’ memory.
