James Richard Ward, 80, of Cumming passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019. A native of Pinetops, NC, he was a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Ward had lived in Baltimore and was retired after 29 years with Lucent Technologies.

He was fun-loving and loved his family. He enjoyed coaching Little League Football and was a huge Georgia Tech fan. Mr. Ward was also a member of the Good Shepherd Church Men’s Bible Study Group.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Rosalie Arlene Ward; daughters, Kathleen Ann Pollard of Buckhead, Donna Jean (Alan) Killebrew of Roswell; grandchildren, Rebecca Ann Brune, Laura Elizabeth Cortiss, Brandon Michael Pollard, Ashley Brooke Clement, Patrick Clement; 8 great grandchildren; aunt, Geraldine Fletcher; niece, Linda Hoffman; and cousins, Judy Grant and Joyce Humphrey. The funeral mass will be Thursday, May 23, 2019, 11:00am at The Catholic Church of the Good Shepherd. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA 30040 is in charge of arrangements.
