James R. Lowery, 80, of Kokomo, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. He was born September 25, 1938 in Fountain County, Indiana. He married Ruth Ann Kelly on January 28, 1961 and she preceded him in death on January 15, 1992.

James was a lifelong farmer in Howard County. Surviving family include his daughter, Sarah L. Tibbett of Attica, Indiana; grandsons, Wayne A. Tibbett, Mitchell D. Tibbett and Steven A. Lowery; great grandchildren, Aiden and Samantha. He is also survived by brothers, Kenneth, Donald and Russell Lowery and sisters, Mary and Ellen Lowery and a special friend and daughter Amy Bousum.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. Arrangements are pending at this time.
